In honor of poetry month, I’d like to share a poem I wrote when I was in middle school. I was obsessed with Michael Jackson and intrigued by everything he went through during his series of court trials. This poem is called, “During The Trial”
No man in the world
Has gone through so many dramatized actions
Than those of the “King of Pop,”
better known as Michael Jackson.
During the duration of the trial,
frustrations arose. There was little elation
but much fixation
on the alteration of all of the allegations.
In a room filled with altercation and accusations,
there was no time for consolation.
Wishing he were on a trip of aviation,
Jackson sat still in exhalation.
With no time for negotiation,
he was on his way to damnation without any hesitation.
Gone now is the investigation
although he’ll never forget the irritation.
Now he sits home in isolation
more cautious than ever
about any affiliation with the human civilization.
