Women In Power Part 2: Personal Comparison

FullSizeRender (5)I have a younger cousin (Tiana) who will be going to the Air Force in less than 24 hours. While I’m sad to see her go, I can’t help but to be proud of her for taking a risk that most of us wouldn’t even dream of taking. I wrote a blog yesterday about how important it is for women to take risks and to not only survive, but thrive. She is a prime example of the type of risk that I’m talking about. By taking charge of her future and securing her financial stability, she has made it a point to ensure her life’s security. Thank you, Tiana, for being an example to other young women who may be scared to take the plunge, not necessarily into the military, but into life in general. You are showing young girls and even older women that it’s okay to do something outside the box. To be comfortable in the future, you have to do something uncomfortable in your present. I’m going to miss you and I know you’ll do great. Thank you for serving our country! (salute)
